Wildflower Meadow Safari

Building on last year’s successful wildflower meadow safari day, we’re planning to do this again, in collaboration with the University of Exeter's Wildflower Collective, and are grateful to the University of Exeter for funding this event. Join us for one, two, or all three meadows!

Cornwall County Plant Recorder, Ian Bennallick, will join us at all three locations, helping identify the wildflowers, grasses and other plants. And of course, we'll be spotting insect and other wildlife too!
 
This event is FREE, and includes a pasty (which you'll need to order in advance – book your tickets for meadows and pasties) – to pick up at Kestle Barton. Otherwise, feel free to bring your own picnic.

10.30am Goongillings Farm, TR11 5RP
Charlie Pugh will accompany us around two of his glorious wildflower meadows.

Just south of Constantine. The entrance to the farm is between the villages of Polwheveral and Nancenoy.

12.30pm Kestle Barton, TR12 6HU
Exploring Kestle Barton's beautiful wildflower meadows, with a communal lunch (preorder your free pasties or bring a picnic)

From Newtown St Martin take the road signposted Helford and Manaccan. After one and a half miles at a small cross roads turn left to Kestle and first right to Kestle Wartha. Kestle Barton is about half a mile on the right.

Guided tour of two wildlflower meadows with Cornwall Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve Manager for West Cornwall, Nick Marriott. 

Driving north from Lizard Village, after about 1 mile take the track on your left to Windmill Farm Nature Reserve.
