Bat Project
The Wildlife Groundswell Bat Project is an exciting initiative dedicated to the conservation and study of bats on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. This project focuses on increasing public awareness and understanding of local bat species through a variety of activities, including bat walks, talks, and bat monitoring. Participants have the opportunity to join expert-led bat walks, where they can use bat detectors to listen to and identify different bat species in their natural habitats. The project also works to monitor bat populations across the Lizard, contributing valuable data for conservation efforts. Through these activities, the Wildlife Groundswell Bat Project plays a crucial role in both protecting and promoting the understanding of these fascinating and often misunderstood creatures.
If you would like to take part in these activities please enquire by email. Team leaders Sarah and Charley will be happy to answer your questions and welcome new volunteers.
